Dusk Falkner-Martinez, OD

Dusk Falkner-Martinez, OD is a certified optometric physician who focuses on fitting bifocal and multifocal contact lenses, scleral lenses, and managing ocular diseases. She grew up in South Florida and began working in the optical industry at age 17 where she learned how to manufacture and fabricate glasses and lenses.

After graduating from Miami-Dade College with a degree in Vision Care Technology she became a licensed optician and managed a successful retail optical store for many years. She left to pursue a passion for teaching at McFatter Technical College as Program Director and Instructor for their Optometric Assistant program.

Her passion for eyecare led her to pursue her Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University where she graduated in 1997. Upon graduating, she worked at private and retail practices before opening her own practice in Plantation, FL which she owned for more than 25 years. Dr. Martinez loves to spend time out on the ocean with her family including her husband (also an Optician), 2 children, and 4 dogs. We are lucky to have her join West Broward Eyecare as she starts a new journey in Eyecare.
