At West Broward Eyecare, we carry over 1000 frames for you to choose from, including a wide selection of specialty and designer frames to fit any budget. Our trained staff will guide you through the eyeglass selection process and explain your vision insurance coverage for frames and lenses.
We use the latest technology to take specific measurements to make sure your lenses are made specifically for you. This is important to make sure you have a clear comfortable vision throughout your day.
We also provide top of the line lenses including high index lenses for patients with higher prescriptions along with shatterproof lenses for active adults and children.
We offer many different types of lens options to help patients achieve their best vision possible. Our Tamarac eye doctors will help you select the type of progressive lens that will fit your computer and near vision needs. If you spend more than 4 hours in front of a computer we may have a specialty lens option for you.
We utilize the Access lens which is specifically designed for computers and near work. This lens allows you to work throughout your day without having to constantly refocus your eyes.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GLASSES?
You make an investment in your eye health and vision when you purchase a pair of glasses. Take care of them to protect this investment. When you’re not wearing your glasses, they should be kept — glass side up — in their protective case.
When you clean your glasses, rinse them under lukewarm water. Gently soap up your lenses and frames with a dab of lotion-free dish detergent. Shake off any excess water and dry the lenses with a lint-free cotton towel.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LENSES?
The professionals at West Broward Eyecare Associates use the latest technology to take specific measurements to make sure your lenses are made especially for your vision and style needs. Properly made lenses ensure you have clear, comfortable vision throughout the day. You may choose from:
- Glass and plastic lenses
- Tinted lenses
- Polycarbonate lenses.
If you have a stronger prescription, the office offers high index lenses. You may also choose shatterproof lenses for active adults and children. Specialty lenses are also available for those who spend more than four hours at a time in front of the computer. This lens allows you to work continuously without having to constantly refocus your eyes.
You may also choose special treatments for scratch resistance, decreased glare, and protection against ultraviolet light.
